Required tools:
baking paper, rolling pin and Christmas cookie shapes
WORK DESCRIPTION
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees (hot air oven) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Cut the cold butter into small pieces and mix with all other ingredients in a large bowl. Knead a dough using your hands. This can take a few minutes. Then form into a ball. Put into the fridge for 30 minutes (this will allow the dough to roll out more easily).
- Take the dough ball out of the fridge and spread some oat flour on an even surface. Roll out the dough (about 0.5 cm thick) using a rolling pin. Use Christmas cookie shapes to make the cookies. Bake for 12 minutes.
- Allow cookies to cool.
- Break chocolate in pieces and melt ‘au bain marie’ (in a metal or heat resistant glass bowl over simmering water, make sure water does not touch the bowl) frequently stirring with spoon. Decorate the cookies with melted chocolate.
